STUDIO POLICIES
Studio Access, Safety & Use
Drinks are allowed only in lidded, non-glass containers
Children must be supervised at all times
Guest access is limited to member buddy passes
Wheels are first come, first served for members and available during scheduled classes for students
No pets in gallery or studio
No food in studio area
No heavy scents
Materials & Equipment
Only in-studio cone 6 clays are approved for our kilns. Outside clay and glazes require studio manager approval
Workshop attendees may use all underglazes
Members may use all glazes
Sanding bone dry, bisque, or fired work must happen outdoors or in the spray booth
Please make sure you work is ready for the kiln by ensuring it is:
Fully dry
Has proper wall and bottom thickness
There is no glaze on the foot
There are no non-clay attachments
All work must be labeled with initials on the foot and firing slip
Re-firing requires staff approval
Storage & Handling
Do not touch/move another person’s work or tools without consent
Member work should be stored on your assigned storage shelf
Cleaning & Studio Reset
Keep floors clean of splashes and spills
Rise and return tools to their proper location
Reset wheels:
Foot pedal returned
Chair slid back
Splash pan removed and rinsed
Wheel head, stool, table, and floor wiped
Memberships
Membership cancellations can be managed on Kilnfire.

Shared Space & Courtesy
Use the coat rack for bags and jackets
Borrow and return community aprons
Step outside to take phone calls
Use headphones for personal music
Ask before changing shared studio music
