CERAMIC ARTIST RESIDENCIES ON THE LONG BEACH PENINSULA
Are you the kind of person who feels at home with clay on your hands and salt in the air? Ilwaco Artworks ceramic artist residencies are made for makers who value process, experimentation, and the grounding rhythm of the Washington coast.
Our Teaching Ceramic Artist Residency is ideal for experienced artist educators who would like to lead a workshop and enjoy self directed studio time. Our Standard Ceramic Artist Residency offers a stay focused solely on you and your ceramic practice.
Residents enjoy cozy accommodations at the Sou'wester Lodge in Seaview, WA, just 5 minutes from us, along with access to our studio, tools, and glazes making it easy to move between studio time and beach time.
The residency is self-directed. Artists are encouraged to use their time in ways that best support their process, whether starting or advancing a project or experimenting with new ideas.
A studio orientation is provided at the start of each residency.
Residents work alongside other artists and members in a shared, supportive environment.
Clay must be purchased in-studio or residents may bring their own cone-6 clay with prior approval.
Residents often bring works in progress and take greenware home in a wet-box. Shipping is an option if you’d like to leave work with us to fire
There is no application fee.
